The Sebastian River Area offers various offshore fishing opportunities for the avid or amateur fisherman. Fishermen flock to Sebastian Inlet, the premier saltwater fishing spot on Florida's east coast, to fish its jetties for snook, redfish, bluefish, flounder, snapper, grouper, sheepshead, permit, whiting, blues, Spanish mackerel, and various species of shark. If deep –sea fishing is your addiction, then steer east of Sebastian Inlet into the Atlantic Ocean and you’ll find various sportfish such as dolphin, tuna, swordfish, grouper, snapper, wahoo, kingfish, sailfish, cobia, barracuda, amberjack and other challenging catches.
