24th Annual Blue Water Open

The Blue Water Open Offshore Charity Fishing Tournament presented by the Sebastian Exchange Club draws competitors from all over to enjoy what is certainly one of the most fun fundraisers all year along the Treasure Coast of Florida. Plan to come out and join us for the 24th annual Blue Water Open in 2017.

Calling all boat captains.  Put your team together, and enter to compete for cash and prizes. Spend a great day on the water, and a fun evening ashore, while you help us raise money for a great cause. The Blue Water Open Offshore Charity Fishing Tournament in Sebastian, Florida draws competitors from all over to enjoy what is certainly one of the most fun fundraisers all year along the Treasure Coast of Florida.

Boat Entry fee is $250.00 for those who are strictly fishing in the tournament and who are NOT sponsors. We are happy to have you.

Top Boat: $2,000  (Boat with the heaviest weight of 3 fish within the 4 fish categories.  Must have 3 fish in at least 2 of the 4 fish categories.  Does not include Amberjack, Cobia or Tripletail  Top boat fish can also compete for other places on the main board.

Lady Angler & Junior Angler:  These are non cash awards.  Fish entered here can compete for other cash prizes.  (NOTE:  Lady and Junior Angler fish MUST BE DECLARED prior to weighing the fish.) Does not include Amberjack, Cobia or Tripletail.  

Bonus Board: (Total purse $2,000):  ONLY 1 ENTRY FOR ANY BOAT NOT QUALIFYING FOR THE MAIN BOARD PURSE.  $200 TO THE NEXT 10 HEAVIEST FISH IN ANY OF THE 4 FISH CATEGORIES. Does not include Amberjack, Cobia or Tripletail. 

Big Fish Bonanza:  (Optional – must be registered to win.)  Single largest fish of the 4 fish categories.  80% of purse paid out.  Does not include Amberjack, Cobia or Tripletail. 

AJ:  $1,000 to largest Amberjack minimum 25 pounds weighed in.   AJ not included in Top Boat or Big Fish Bonanza total weight.

Colossal Cobia:  $1,000 to largest Cobia minimum 25 pounds weighed in. Cobia not included in Top Boat or Big Fish Bonanza total weight.

Tripletail: $1,000 to largest Tripletail minimum 10 pounds weighed in.   Tripletail not included in Top Boat or Big Fish Bonanza total weight.

Sebastian's Freedom Festival

The Lion's Club of Sebastian and the City of Sebastian enthusiastically invite you to participate in the 45th Annual 4th of July Parade which will be held on Tuesday, July 4th. This year, the parade will again begin at the Sebastian Community Center and the Sebastian Masonic Lodge at 1805 Jackson Street proceeding East on Davis Street and South of Indian River Drive to Riverview Park. The parade begins at 8:30 a.m.

Following the parade, there will be festivities in the park. Live entertainment, food, craft booths, vendors, etc. Fireworks at dusk. This is a fun-filled family event!
