The Sebastian River area lies in the coastal plain of the central Florida Atlantic coast, with populated areas in close proximity to the coastal barrier island and the Indian River Lagoon estuary. We are within 200 miles of 11 million Florida residents.

I-95 is just six miles west of the Indian River at the SR512 Sebastian/Fellsmere exit and gives easy access to points north and south. Orlando and West Palm Beach are 90 miles to the north and south respectively. Melbourne is immediately to the north and Vero Beach is just to the south. Click here for an interactive map:

By car you can reach Sebastian via US 1 or Interstate 95, exit 156. By air you can fly into Sebastian Airport or Melbourne International Airport.

The Sebastian River area enjoys an average mean temperate of 72.4 degrees. Winters are mild ranging from the mid 60's to mid 80's, while summers range from the 70's to the low 90's. Water temperatures range from the 60'sin the winter to 85 degrees in the summer.

Average rainfall is typical for eastern Florida. The driest months are November through May (with 2 inches in December) while summer tends to bring more showers (6 1/2 inches in June).
